One Rep Max Weight Lifting Definition
The One Rep Max Weight Lifting Calculator lets you instantly calculate your one rep max for any weight lifting exercise simply by entering in the amount of the weight and the number of repetitions that you have lifted it for. Although there are quite a few one rep max formulas out there, we chose to go with a simple one and opted to make the calculator simple to use.
One rep maximum (one repetition maximum or 1RM) in weight training is the maximum amount of weight one can lift in a single repetition for a given exercise. One repetition maximum can be used for determining an individual’s maximum strength and can be used to determine the desired “load” for an exercise (as a percentage of the 1RM). Various weight training programs call for lifting some percentage of the lifter’s 1RM.
