Here is an interesting protein recipe for a high protein frosting, which is not something that should be used too often, but is great for satisfying that sweet tooth. The sugars and sodium are a little high for it to be something that you consume very often.
High Protein Frosting Ingredients
1 Packet Sweetener (Optional)
6 Tablespoons Fat Free Cool Whip
1 Scoop Protein Powder (Whey or Casein)
4 Ounces Fat Free or Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
High Protein Frosting Directions
Mix all ingredients in bowl with a hand blender until you attain the frosting consistency that you would like. You can alter the thickness of the frosting by adding water if you would like your frosting a little thinner. If you are using casein protein, you will need to add water.
